Smooth Bumpin

64 / September 2015 / Lindsay Schnarr

There's an irony to my roots.  From Orange County to the Ozark Mountains... then San Francisco to Amherst... the split connection to city and country life.  The 20,000 miles I've driven this year, from country home, through city streets, to office life and back again, has reforged a coursing rythym of circulating the fast and narrow, with the sometimes bitterly slow inching forward of the brakes.

Along my path I've gotten lost to the heavy beats of these tracks.  Some slipped into my veins many moons ago, others only within a cycle or two.  As I prepare to steer back toward my California homeland for a long overdue trip to the coast, I am reconnecting with that city side that knows the marching electronic pace of my past and growing present.

This mix is notably more up-beat than you may be used to hearing from me, maybe because of the increase in caffeine that's comes with the commuting lifestyle.  But don't let the up-tempo fool you, this series is best enjoyed with the bass down low.
