ROUGH EDGES

39 / August 2013 / Lindsay Schnarr

Let me just start out by saying... this is not a mix to throw on at bedtime, unless you're not tucking anyone in.  This is not a mix for your baby, unless she or he is of legal age.  This mix sinks into the essense of August.  Dirty, gritty, sultry stuff that gives us another reason to sweat.  It may just be my southern roots and the heat I feel in my blood at this time of year, or maybe it's my urge to shake up the lullabyes swirling around with all the baby waves bumping up against the shoreline these days, but I've been craving tunes that cut through the fluff and go straight for the gut.  I want you to feel this one.  Get charged - get in gear - it's time to ride off into the sunset - wind in your hair - sun on your skin.  It's summer and it's slipping away.  Tighten your grip cuz we're not stopping for snacks.
